CCC #55

I made this card for Cricut Cardz Challenge #55. Banner was from celebrations and not sure about the font and just too lazy to get up and go into the other room to find out. I realized that I need more cartridges with fonts because I only have one.

My Competition

Here is a card my daughter India designed and made using Create a Critter and Doodlecharms. Her dad asked her to write a card for one of his coworkers. I was already in the process of creating a card but she just had to make her own. It turned out really cute...frankly all I'm thinking is, "She's gonna need to get her own cricut cause I ain't sharing!" LOL.

Another Christmas Card

Another Christmas Card made for Day 8 - 12 Days of Christmas on My Pink Stamper. Made with Create a Critter, it turned out pretty nice. As soon as it was done, my mom snatched it up, wrote her sentiment inside for her co-worker. Well I'm glad they're being used!

Christmas/Winter Card

Been busy making cards and tags and shopping for Christmas. Of course I procrastinated so I have been out rushing around buying gifts and dealing with the crowds.

I made the penguin tags for another Day challenge for My Pink Stamper but missed the deadline to upload. Penguin is from Create a Critter and the tag is from the Preserves cartridge. My mom will be using them for the gift bags that she gives to her co workers every year. I'll try to take a picture of them.

Dinosaur Card

Mary at CardzTv posted a challenge to create a card without using your cricut. I was totally down for this as I had just purchased paper stack called "STOMP" which has a really great dinosaur motif to it. As I recently found out, I couldn't have used my cricut even if I had wanted to. It seems that my power cord was "mysteriously" cut. I say mysteriously because no one wants to fess up to the deed. And frankly, I don't blame them, because I was pretty upset by this. So now my cricut doesn't work and I am in search of a replacement cord. Anyhoo, I created this card using just the paper from the stack, I fussy cut out the little "flowers" that are in the upper right hand corner and popped them up. I think that it would make an adorable birthday card for a little boy.

Packages in the Mail

Super excited this week. I received the three cricut carts (Create a Critter, Celebrations, Preserves) that I ordered from ebay. There's alot on my wishlist but frankly I'm too cheap to pay alot. I also finally received my order from Joanns.com. I ordered DCWV - Stack 7, Citrus Stack and Citrus Cardstock. It took over a month to get here, must have travelled by boat. I think I might order from them again even though the delivery time was horrendous because the price was so nice, $9.99 on sale for each stack, which seems to me quite reasonable. I just won't order anything I need to have right now.
Now I need to figure out what to make!

Okay...well school began two weeks ago and with that I am back to work teaching so i haven't had much time to do anything but fall down dead. Add to that 6 days worth of soccer practice split between two kids, most days I don't get home until 9pm. Add to that we are in the process of creating a permanent crafting area, right now all crafting occurs on the dining table which is difficult and a pain. Anyhoo - my daughter has been invited to a birthday party at a waterpark here so I created this birthday card using the mermaid from Life's a Beach. Waves were embossed on the cuttlebug. Stickers were from Cloud 9 Designs. Turned out quite nice, if I do say so myself.

entering this card into the following challenges which were both anything goes.

School Bus Card

I think that this card just turnout too cute. I love how the bus covers the whole card. Bus is from my cricut doodlecharms cartridge (I REALLY, REALLY, need to get more cartridges). I used just a basic white cardstock for the background and a basic school bus yellow for the top.

I'll be entering this card in http://www.papercutzchallenge.blogspot.com/ challenge to include wheels.

Birthday Card

I just received my cuttlebug from HSN the other day and to say that I was thrilled is an understatement. I decided to use the swiss dots and happy birthday embossing folders for this birthday card I made as part of Cricut Cardz Challenge and Simon Says Stamp - Dotty challenge and http://craftaliciouschallenges.blogspot.com/. I also used the cupcake on my Doodlecharms cartridge. I am not as happy with this card as I was with the Christmas card I made the other day. Something about the cupcakes just doesn't feel right. Oh, well, I'll try again later.

This is my first post and my first entry ever for Cardz TV Christmas in July Challenge. This card is on a 5 X 7 white card. I cut the background 4 1/2 X 6 1/2 out of Flip It w/ Flair - December Days. I cut the trees from a green polka dot paper using the tree on page 125 of my Doodlecharms cartridge. I used the border feature and cut it at 3". I added a silver ribbon and as I have no stickles, I added clear glitter to the trees the old fashioned way with glue.
